According to a statement made by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) on July 10, 15 Korean companies secured export contracts worth about 5.2 million USD during the recent “2023 K-Story & Comics in Europe” event that was held in Paris, France last week.

“K-Story & Comics in Europe” aims to create opportunities for Korean firms looking to enter the European market to promote their web content. This includes games, videos, webcomics, and web novels.

Among them, webtoon studio Toyou’s Dream’s Villain to Kill was acquired by French comics publisher Kotoon. Sound Alliance also signed a contract with French web novel platform Neovel while Rockin’ KOREA signed a business agreement with French publishing and production company MAKMA.

KOCCA plans to hold more “K-Story & Comics” events in Germany and North America in the latter half of the year to continue expanding globally.
